EVANESCENE
“Bring Me To Life”
This band needs no introduction. This song is 16 years old and still one of the best ever. They were just in town touring. I didn’t get there but I did request a patch for my jacket from a guy going, he better had gotten me one.
Evanescence is an American rock band founded in 1994 by singer and keyboardist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Mood, in Little Rock, Arkansas. After releasing independent EPs and a Demo CD as a duo in the late 1990s, Evanescence released their debut studio album, Fallen, on Wind-up Records in 2003. Propelled by the success of hit singles including “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal”, Fallen sold more than four million copies in the US by January 2004, garnering Evanescence two Grammy Awards out of six nominations. They released their first live album and concert DVD, Anywhere but Home, in 2004, which sold over one million copies worldwide.
That’s just a breath in their history. Check them out everywhere. I could listen to here all day and having many times when working.
These are 3 of my favorites, but there are so many, check them out for yourself.
Just a quick post for all the Evanescence lovers out there. They are amazing, and continue to get right to your soul.
Join me next week for another band and another song. In the meantime don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..
